The <a href=\"https:\/\/pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/articles\/PMC11374458\/\">2024 study published in <em>Applied Clinical Informatics<\/em><\/a> evaluated four widely used platforms, including <strong>AMBOSS, ISABEL, Medscape, and Osmosis<\/strong>, to assess how effectively they support just-in-time learning using the <a href=\"https:\/\/pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/articles\/PMC7428912\/\"><strong>Mobile App Rubric for Learning (MARuL)<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The study found that <strong>Osmosis received the highest \u201cUsefulness for Learning\u201d score among the apps evaluated, and was also rated most positively for usability.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_Does_This_Research_Outcome_Matter\"><\/span>Why Does This Research Outcome Matter?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In clinical training, <strong>time is limited and cognitive load is high<\/strong>. Students aren\u2019t just looking for information. <strong>They need tools that help them quickly understand and apply what they\u2019re learning.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>MARuL framework <\/strong>reflects this reality by evaluating apps across <strong>teaching and learning, user-centered design, professional content, and usability.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this study, we&#8217;re happy to share that <strong>Osmosis performed strongly in both learning usefulness and usability<\/strong>.
