What began with a single <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@osmosis\">YouTube<\/a> video has grown into a trusted company supporting millions of learners and educators around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, as part of <strong>Elsevier<\/strong>, we\u2019re continuing to expand our impact and reimagine how the next generation of healthcare professionals learn healthcare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As we celebrate <strong>10 years of learning by Osmosis<\/strong>, we\u2019re reflecting on the milestones, innovations, and people that have shaped our journey. And <strong>Mo the Molecule<\/strong> replaced Ozzy as our mascot, representing growth, adaptability, and the heart of learning by Osmosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We founded the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.osmosis.org\/community\">Osmosis Medical Education Fellowship (OMEF)<\/a><\/strong> in <strong>2019<\/strong>, empowering medical students to promote and improve medical education in collaboration with Osmosis. Fellows served as <strong>campus ambassadors<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.osmosis.org\/blog\/category\/osmosis-health-leadership-initiative-ohli\"><strong>content contributors<\/strong><\/a>, and <strong>advocates for better learning<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also launched our in-house medical animation and storytelling team, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/diffusionstudios.elsevier.com\/\">Diffusion Studios<\/a>, <\/strong>in 2019, as well as expanding our content into <strong>Histology<\/strong>, <strong>Clinical Skills<\/strong>, and <strong>High-Yield<\/strong> content, and released updates such as <strong>custom playlists<\/strong> and <strong>personalized dashboards<\/strong>. We also launched dedicated programs for <strong>nursing, PA, dental, and pharmacy learners<\/strong>, bringing our mission to even more health professions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2020_Rising_to_the_Challenge\"><\/span>2020: Rising to the Challenge<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When the world changed, Osmosis rose to the moment. Together, we combined the Osmosis \u201clearner-first\u201d approach with Elsevier\u2019s longtime, trusted expertise in health education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Osmosis Medical Education Fellowship (OMEF)<\/strong> program evolved into the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.osmosis.org\/community\">Osmosis Health Leadership Initiative (OHLI)<\/a><\/strong>, expanding its membership to include other areas of healthcare, along with focusing on leadership development, global collaboration, and community impact \u2014 continuing our commitment to support the next generation of healthcare leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And, to top it all off, we reached <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.osmosis.org\/blog\/osmosis-org-surpasses-two-million-subscribers-on-youtube-growing-into-one-of-the-largest-health-and-education-channels\">2 million YouTube subscribers<\/a><\/strong> and began integrating our content into Elsevier products, unlocking new ways to empower learners everywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2022_Going_Global\"><\/span>2022: Going Global<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">2022 was all about accessibility and expansion. We launched the <strong>RN product on mobile<\/strong>, introduced the <strong>PANCE Quiz Builder<\/strong>, and added <strong>Spanish translations<\/strong> for video text, making Osmosis more inclusive for learners around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our vision to empower the world\u2019s clinicians and caregivers with the best learning experience possible truly began to take shape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"651\" height=\"151\" src=\"https:\/\/www.osmosis.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/11\/Year_of_the_Zebra-Stripes.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8849\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.osmosis.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/11\/Year_of_the_Zebra-Stripes.png 651w, https:\/\/www.osmosis.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/11\/Year_of_the_Zebra-Stripes.png?resize=300,70 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 651px) 100vw, 651px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2023_Year_of_the_Zebra\"><\/span>2023: Year of the Zebra<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In honor of the <strong>40th anniversary of the Orphan Drug Act<\/strong>, we launched the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.osmosis.org\/zebra\">Year of the Zebra<\/a><\/strong> campaign to raise awareness about rare diseases and empathy in medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also reached <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.osmosis.org\/blog\/the-road-to-three-million-unleashing-the-power-of-osmosis-from-elsevier\">3 million YouTube subscribers<\/a><\/strong>, released <strong>localized nursing products<\/strong> in <strong>Australia<\/strong> and <strong>New Zealand<\/strong>, updated our <strong>Nurse Practitioner product<\/strong>, and launched <strong>Clinical Sciences content<\/strong> to replace our older Clinical Reasoning content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Osmosis videos also appeared in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.elsevier.com\/products\/sherpath\">Elsevier\u2019s Sherpath<\/a> <\/strong>nursing product, bringing the Osmosis learning experience to even more classrooms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2024_Learning_Reimagined\"><\/span>2024: Learning Reimagined<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We unveiled a <strong>new mobile dashboard<\/strong>, enhanced search, and <strong>curriculum-aligned MD and DO content<\/strong> based on the USMLE\u00ae and COMLEX-USA\u00ae blueprints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our <strong>nursing library<\/strong> expanded with the addition of 60+ case-study videos, gamified features such as learner badges, and <strong>localized products<\/strong> for <strong>UK and Ireland<\/strong> learners.
