Recipients commit to working after graduation for one year per scholarship support received in NHSC-designated rural, urban or tribal communities with limited access to health care. Graduate students must be 40 or younger to apply; undergrads must be 30 years old or younger. Applicants must have at least a 3.3 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and ABD Ph.D. candidates are not eligible. Scholars may not be acquiring a second degree, and must be US citizens.
