The <strong>Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale (COWS) score is not used to assess pain<\/strong>, rather, it is used to <strong>assess withdrawal symptoms in patients with substance use disorder.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Incorrect_Answer_Explanations\"><\/span>Incorrect Answer Explanations<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A. Obtain a set of vital signs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Rationale:<\/strong> Vital signs can provide objective information about the pain. For example, when patients are in pain, their heart rate and blood pressure can be elevated.
