Genito-pelvic pain and penetration disorder (GPPPD) is a condition that is characterized by difficult sexual intercourse, vulvovaginal and pelvic pain, and anticipatory fear during vaginal penetration. It can cause great distress and difficulty with sexual activity, and its symptoms include pain during sex, difficulties with vaginal penile insertion, and a general feeling of discomfort in the genital area.
