Summary

A hepatocellular adenoma (HCA) is a benign liver tumor commonly associated with high estrogen levels. It is commonly seen in women having hormonal contraceptives but can also be related to anabolic steroids. Hepatocellular adenomas are usually asymptomatic and are found incidentally on imaging, but can sometimes cause bleeding.
