Krukenberg tumor

Summary of Krukenberg tumor
A Krukenberg tumor refers to a malignancy in the ovary that metastasized from a primary site, classically the gastrointestinal tract, although it can arise from other tissues such as the breast. Bilaterality helps distinguish metastases from primary mucinous carcinoma of the ovary, which is usually unilateral.
