oligohydramnios and p. NaN
Oligohydramnios is a condition in which there is a decrease in the amount of amniotic fluid in the amniotic sac during pregnancy. Amniotic fluid surrounds and protects the baby in the uterus during pregnancy.
Oligohydramnios can negatively affect fetal development, resulting in conditions such as clubfoot and pulmonary hypoplasia; and can also increase the risk of complications during labor and delivery. The causes of oligohydramnios include placental insufficiency, and any fetal condition that decreases fetal urination like renal agenesis. It is diagnosed with ultrasound scans during regular prenatal care.
