Resumen
A pancreatic pseudocyst is a fluid-filled pocket that develops in or around the pancreas, which is rich in pancreatic enzymes, blood, and necrotic tissue. Pancreatic pseudocysts are usually complications of pancreatitis, although in children they frequently occur following abdominal trauma. People with a pancreatic pseudocyst can present with abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and fever. Treatment may involve draining the pseudocyst or surgically removing it. In some cases, pseudocysts resolve on their own.
