Resumen

Rhabdomyosarcoma is a type of connective tissue cancer, in which the cancer cells are thought to arise from skeletal muscle progenitors. Rhabdomyosarcoma can occur in any part of the body, but it most commonly occurs in the head and neck, the genitourinary tract, and the extremities.

Symptoms depend on the location of the tumor but can include pain, a lump or mass, and difficulty moving the affected area. Treatment typically involves a combination of surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. The prognosis for rhabdomyosarcoma depends on various factors, such as the stage of cancer and the patient's overall health.
