Summary

Spondylosis refers to the degenerative changes in the spine that occur as a natural part of aging. If severe, it may result in pressure on nerve roots with subsequent sensory or motor disturbances, such as pain, paresthesia, and muscle weakness in the limbs. The diagnosis of spondylosis involves imaging tests, such as X-rays, MRI, or CT scans, which can show degenerative changes in the spine. Treatment options include physical therapy, pain management with medications, lifestyle modifications, and in some cases, surgery.
