Wilms' tumor, or nephroblastoma, is the most common of early childhood renal malignancies. The first symptom of Wilms' tumor is often a painless abdominal growth. They tend to be encapsulated and vascularized tumors that do not cross the midline of the abdomen. Treatment depends on the tumor's stage upon discovery, but prognosis is usually excellent.
