A 31-year-old woman is brought to the emergency department for evaluation after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds. The patient has no significant past medical history and does not take any medications. Upon arrival, the patient appears anxious but speaks in full, clear sentences. Temperature is 37°C (98.6°F), pulse is 110/min, respirations are 25/min, blood pressure is 150/84 mmHg, and oxygen saturation is 95% on room air. There are bilateral breath sounds and 2+ pulses in the upper and lower extremities bilaterally. Capillary refill is less than 2 seconds. The patient has a Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) of 15 and is freely moving all extremities. Pupils are 2-3 mm, equal round, and reactive bilaterally. The patient is exposed, and warm blankets are applied. IV access is established. The secondary survey reveals four gunshot wounds: one entry wound lateral to the umbilicus on the left, one entry wound inferior to the left clavicle, and corresponding exit wounds over the left flank and medial scapula on the left. Which of the following is the best next step in management?
