A 31-year-old woman comes to the clinic complaining of intermittent numbness and tingling in both legs for the past several weeks. The patient is an attorney and has been under stress while working on a “career-defining case.” Past medical history is significant for an episode of urinary incontinence 5 months ago, as well as a transient episode of unilateral blurry vision last year. Both episodes resolved spontaneously. Vital signs are within normal limits. On an attempted left gaze, the left eye abducts but the right eye remains stationary. The patient is able to converge both eyes with no difficulty. Muscle strength in the right and left lower extremities are 3/5. Ankle reflexes are 3+ on both sides, and plantar reflexes are upgoing. Lower extremity sensation to vibration, light touch, and pain is decreased bilaterally. Which of the following additional complaints is this patient likely to present with in the future?
