Hi, I'm, and today on Raz line, I'm really happy to be joined by Aaron Boli, who's the cofounder and CEO of Carbon Health.

We were actually introduced, not because of carbon health but by Rob Hunter at Learn Capital. Uh because Aaron also is the co-founder of Udemy, which is a, a household name by now, but in case you haven't heard about it, uh it's effect, it's helped over 40 million learners upscale.

Uh and has def definitely seen a lot of tail winds because of it. We're here to talk to Erin about uh about carbon health and how they're revolutionizing primary care.

Uh And I've had the great fortune to get to know Erin over the past few months. Uh, in both the context of Udemy and carbon.

Can you tell us a bit more about your background, how you got into, uh, first starting Udemy and then also starting carbon health?

Uh, and I know also you, you hail from Turkey. So we'd love to hear, uh, and give our audience a sense of how you've been so prolific with your, uh, startups.

II grew up, uh, with a lot of passion for education and health care. Growing up, it was a very rural area.

We rarely, we would have a kind of physician available in that region. Uh So that obviously cause a lot of people to die because of the lack of healthcare access.

There's so much talent in the world, it's actually fairly uniformly distributed, but the access points, opportunities are fairly unevenly distributed.

Uh I knew that I want to do things in education and healthcare space. Um I started two companies as you know.

So um and their mission is actually very similar. So my mission at was making world class education accessible to everyone.

And I know that um online education does not completely level the playing field, but at least it gives an opportunity for people who are behind to catch up, which is what happened for me.

Um And in 2016, II mean, you was doing really well. So we, I decided to tackle my second uh passion which was health care and that's what the rule we have nailed, we we have nailed the formula and operating system so that a very high quality care can be provided at a fairly low cost.

So that um this type of access point can be uh can be available, affordable to the entire population. You know, we have an audience at osmosis of, you know, millions of current and future healthcare professionals, many of whom carbon may eventually employ, right, especially the way you guys are scaling.

What advice would you give to someone considering a career in healthcare right now? And and what's your pitch for to them to, to join Carbon Carbon's whole mission is, is about making great care access with the type of place, all of them like nurses, medical assistants, they all really appreciate when we talk about our mission, we actually mean it like we actually go to these locations.

We we we believe healthcare should be going to the innovations like pop up clinics. They're not coming out of nowhere, they're coming out of the necessity that in a rural area, it's not easy to put a full time clinician.

Uh When the density is too low, I think they want to be a part of creating more healthcare equity in this country. Like carbon health is going to become the place.

Uh they will, they will love working. I mean, I'm not saying they are perfect like o on that form, but like every day we are trying to improve our platform so they can more time can be used to help patients instead of just pushing paperwork.
