Lactose intolerance
Lactose intolerance is a clinical disorder describing the inability of adults and children to digest lactose, a sugar found in milk and to a lesser extent dairy products, causing side effects. Lactose intolerance is a result of diminished activity or absence of the lactase enzyme.
