Myocardial Infarction
VISCEROSOMATICS
- T1-T5 (left > right): Sympathetic innervation to the heart
- Facilitated segments→ bogginess, paraspinal tenderness
CHAPMAN POINTS
- Anterior: 2nd intercostal space on the right, near the sternum
Posterior: Between T2 and T3 transverse processes
AUTONOMICS
- Sympathetics (T1–T5): ↑ heart rate, ↑ contractility
Parasympathetics (Vagus): ↓ heart rate
OMT PEARL
- OMT contraindicated in acute MI
