As a healthcare provider, you must understand how to care for clients with sensory impairment, especially vision and hearing. For clients with visual impairments, describe to them their environment, assist them with directions, and ensure their passage is safe from obstacles. Help them to use assistive devices such as braille, eyeglasses, canes, and guide dogs. Regarding the care of people with deafness, remember to face them during communication, and have a notepad close to writing instructions and questions. Also, help them use specialized equipment such as hearing aids, communication relay devices, and strobe lights.
