Muscle weakness is a decrease in muscle power. It is a common symptom of a number of diseases and disorders, including but not limited to multiple sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, muscular dystrophy, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Muscle weakness can also be a symptom of certain types of cancers, autoimmune diseases, or even certain medications or drugs.
