Date: September 6–9, 2020

Location: Glasgow, Scotland

Overview: AMEE’s annual conference is the premier event for European medical educators and students. Each year, more than 4,000 people from 90+ countries attend AMEE to network, discuss health education research, and learn from leaders in the industry.

International Association of Medical Science Educators Annual Meeting 2020

Date: June 13–16, 2020

Location: Denver, CO

Overview: The International Association of Medical Science Educators (IAMSE) is a nonprofit group dedicated to professional development and curricular advancement in health education. More than 600 people attend this event each year to participate in faculty development workshops and learn about innovative strategies for teaching and student assessment.

Educating Leaders 2020: The AACOM Annual Conference

Date: March 25-27, 2020

Location: Washington, D.C.

Overview: Educating Leaders (AACOM’s Annual Conference) is the largest event of the year in osteopathic medical education. Every year, approximately 800  medical school deans, faculty, administrators, students, university presidents, and government officials attend Educating Leaders to network and learn about the most important research and ideas in the field. The theme of this year’s conference is “Advocating Wellness, Advancing Education“.

2020 AAMC Councils Co-located Spring Meeting

Date: March 12–15, 2020

Location: San Diego, CA

Overview: Leaders from the AAMC Council of Deans (COD), Council of Teaching Hospitals (COTH), and Council of Faculty and Academic Societies attend this event to explore “new paradigms for effective leadership in academic medicine.” The three councils meet for a day of joint programming. After that point, they each have separate meetings to discuss issues and ideas relevant to the members and stakeholders of their respective groups.

AAMC Southern Group on Educational Affairs (SGEA) 2020 Annual Meeting

Date: March 11–14, 2020

Location: Atlanta, GA

Overview: At this event, deans, faculty, and students from member institutions of the SGEA connect with each other and discover ideas to improve teaching and learning in medical education. This year’s event is co-hosted by Augusta University Medical College of Georgia, Emory University School of Medicine, Mercer University School of Medicine, and Morehouse School of Medicine.

AAMC Western Group on Educational Affairs (WGEA) 2020 Meeting

Date: March 28–31, 2020

Location: Pacific Grove, CA

Overview: Educators and students from WGEA member institutions attend this event to advance ideas and initiatives that matter to them and their communities. “Finding common ground,” the theme of this year’s conference, will frame discussions around how to make healthcare and medical education more inclusive and equitable.

2020 Northeast Group on Educational Affairs (NEGEA) Annual Conference

Date: April 30–May 2, 2020

Location: Burlington, VT

Overview: This year’s NEGEA Annual Conference brings together faculty and students from institutions in the Northeastern United States to discuss incorporating humanities into medical education. Attendees will have a chance to network, present their research, earn CME credits, and more.

2020 AAMC GSA-CiM-OSR Professional Development Conference

Date: March 27–29, 2020

Location: Chicago, IL

Date: April 1–3, 2020

Location: Rapid City, SD

Overview: Faculty from CGEA member institutions connect at this event and discuss topics that are relevant to their region’s schools and students.

2020 AMSA Convention & Exhibition

Date: April 16–19, 2020

Location: Washington, D.C.

Overview: More than 1,000 medical students and industry leaders connect at this event to discover ideas and technologies that can make healthcare more affordable, inclusive, and accessible. 2020 AMA Medical Student Advocacy & Region Conference

Date: March 5–7, 2020

Australian & New Zealand Association for Health Professional Educators (ANZAHPE) 2020 Conference

ASM 2020 – Disrupting Medical Education
