RN Question Writer
Abbi Lamparelli has been part of Osmosis' nursing item writer team since January 2021. A registered nurse since 2016, she has five years of nursing experience and is proud of her multidimensional professional background. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ, she has spent the majority of her career working with urban populations in Paterson, NJ and Baltimore, MD. She has experience in the medical/surgical specialty, geriatric and hospice care, interventional radiology, trauma, and emergency medicine. She earned a Master of Nursing degree with a concentration in nursing informatics from Western Governors University in 2019 and gained experience as an analyst for clinical documentation at a large hospital system in New Jersey. She currently teaches as an adjunct clinical instructor for Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, MD, and keeps her clinical skills current as a registered nurse in the emergency department at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD. She loves pursuing interesting opportunities in nursing, and has done everything from writing for the American Nurses Association blog to working as a summer camp nurse. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Aspen University and will be beginning a Post-Master’s Family Nurse Practitioner Certification program in the Fall of 2021 at Drexel University. In her free time (not that she has much), she enjoys cuddling with her cat, Lulu, reading, and taking walks around her neighborhood in Baltimore.
