Osmosis Faculty Reviewer and Clinical Instructor
Gabrielle Proper (RN, BScN, MN) received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Ottawa and holds a Master of Nursing with a Teaching focus from Athabasca University. She is currently completing her Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate at the University of Ottawa. Gabrielle has been very active in policy development with the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario and was the co-chair of the Procedural Pain Prevention Committee. She is also a certified instructor of BLS with Healthcare Provider for the Heart and Stroke Foundation who has assisted with certifying nursing staff in BLS in Haiti—and has plans to volunteer elsewhere any chance she can. Gabrielle Proper is a Faculty Reviewer at Osmosis for the CNA program as well as the clinician for the Clinical Skills product. In addition to working with Osmosis, Gabrielle is a Clinical Simulation and Laboratory Facilitator for the University of Ottawa’s Centre for Innovative Education and Simulation in Nursing. She also works as an Emergency Department Staff Nurse at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario and the Almonte General Hospital. In her free time, she enjoys getting outdoors with her daughter and husband. She also enjoys working with her husband as a technical and cave diving instructor and co-owner of Proper Diving: a recreational and technical diving center. She also loves to travel and explore the world—both on land and underwater.
