Viviana Popa, MD
Dr. Viviana Popa (MD) is a Content Reviewer for Osmosis with a focus on Physiology, Pathophysiology, and Embryology. She also developed clinical reasoning content with a focus on Obstetrics-Gynecology and Endocrinology topics. Viviana graduated from the Universitatea de Medicină şi Farmacie (University of Medicine and Pharmacy) in Iași, Romania. Viviana has a background in language studies and a passion for Embryology, Genetics, Reproductive Endocrinology and medical education. Prior to attending medical school, she earned her bachelor's degree in Language Studies from Vasile Alecsandri National College in Galati, Romania. Viviana feels very lucky to have a wide range of responsibilities at Osmosis that feel perfectly tailored for her personality and interests. She's always loved writing, so her roles as Script Writer and Script Editor turn what was once a hobby into a productive career. Her passion for keeping medical content fresh and updated makes her a good fit for the Update team, while her naturally talkative personality is a really good asset for responding to customer feedback on intercom. Viviana has also helped out with social media posts and notes writing which has helped her develop her medical writing skills in different ways. Viviana loves focused conversations centered around problem-solving, as well as theorizing about ways in which the status quo can be improved—whether we’re talking about adding spices to a simple pasta dish, or brainstorming sessions about research ideas and medical education. She’s a firm believer that when you put creativity and education together, you can teach so much more than just facts—you can turn the learning process from a chore into a passion, and spark a growing mindset both in yourself and in those you teach.
