But, remember: you were accepted to nursing school for a reason, and the Osmosis Student Nursing Ambassador (ONSA) program is here to help you balance out that stress and find your passion again.

In the spirit of giving something back to yourself, and your profession, partnering with the ONSA program will help you connect with your colleagues and future nurses, build up your CV, and even earn free Osmosis and compensation, too!

What Is the ONSA program?

If ever there was a program that was “all things nursing” at its core, then the ONSA program has to be it.

As a program ambassador, you’ll cultivate your nursing skills and watch your influence bloom! In other words, you’ll help spread the joy of learning by Osmosis to nursing students all around the world by engaging through social media, blogs, webinars, and more.

Eligibility requirements

Before you apply, check to make sure you’re eligible for the program:

  • Current BSN, ASN, or ADN student in good academic standing. This signals to us that you’re an active, engaged student who is passionate about their future career in nursing.
  • You have 1–2 hours per week to contribute to our Nursing Community. We want to make sure you won’t feel overburdened and will be able to give your best to the program.
  • You have access to a reliable internet connection and webcam, as this program is fully remote and completed online.

Communication is always key. You will need to provide feedback from time to time, especially with monthly surveys and focus groups. Also, mindful conversations amongst team members are never a bad thing. Rule number one? Listen, as you communicate.

As an ambassador, you have the privilege of being part of a community that will foster your growth as a student nurse and an individual in general. The program will provide you with meaningful connections that will nudge you out of your comfort zone.

What you’ll do as an ONSA

As an ambassador, your primary responsibilities will include the following:

  • Participating in focus groups to help make Osmosis even better for nursing students, and help push nursing education forward in a meaningful way.
  • Building relationships with your peers (ONSAs) and Osmosis teammates, which can provide valuable connections as you build your nursing career.
  • Attending skill-building sessions that will help you keep building on your strengths and working on your challenges.
  • Nurturing a progressive attitude towards the nursing career by talking about the program.
  • Getting exclusive access to Osmosis resources provide feedback on Osmosis nursing content to help us make sure we stay aligned with the real problems and desires of today’s nursing students.
What you will do: meet monthly, provide feedback, communicate, optional: create blog and social content, help develop the program for the future.

While being an Osmosis Nursing Student Ambassador may sound like a grave responsibility, it is quite the opposite. Granted, there are many serious aspects to the position, but you can always count on many new experiences alongside your colleagues!

Getting paid

Apart from your passion for nursing, this is another lucrative end of the deal. As an ambassador, you’ll be compensated for your time and effort ($75 per month upon completing the above requirements, plus an extra $25 for publishing a blog article).

Besides, we also understand that you need to cover your expenses. Osmosis believes in love, care, and fairness. As such, all ambassadors are duly compensated.

Making a difference

This is the most important aspect of all. Making a difference in your field and in other people’s lives is what motivated this program. You will have a genuine opportunity to impact change. It is something that you, along with all of us, consider joy and privilege.
