The Osmosis team is deeply concerned about the situation in Ukraine and that is why Elsevier is offering free Osmosis access to those affected. We are also listing other organizations helping in this uneasy situation.
News, videos, and images coming from Ukraine are heartbreaking, and we stand in support of our learners and colleagues from the healthcare community who are impacted by these events. We are deeply concerned for our global community, and many of us have loved ones around the world, including Ukraine and other affected areas. Our thoughts are with all Ukrainians in their homeland and those with ties to the region.
Together, Elsevier and the other three divisions of RELX, are partnering with UNICEF and Red Cross. This will help scale-up efforts to protect millions of children and families from immediate danger, providing much-needed funds to help UNICEF transport safe water to conflict-affected areas, providing health and emergency education supplies as close as possible to communities near the line of contact, providing psychosocial care, and working with municipalities to ensure there is immediate help for children and families in need. Additionally, it will help provide food and warm clothing, first aid training for those on the ground, transfer people to the hospital and provide medical supplies to healthcare facilities in need in Ukraine and bordering countries receiving Ukrainians fleeing the conflict.
Free access
To support medical students and professionals in Ukraine, Elsevier provided free access to ClinicalKey, Complete Anatomy, and Osmosis from March 2022 – August 2023.
Now, affected learners and professionals in the region will automatically receive access upon logging in to Osmosis, based on their location within Ukraine. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to [email protected].
