The Osmosis from Elsevier team is dedicated to providing all our learners with an engaging and impactful learning experience. We invite you to check back here regularly to learn about Osmosis product updates and improvements throughout 2025.

Now, let’s dive into the latest updates!

April 2025: Mobile Quiz Builder Update

Exciting news for Osmosis learners! The Osmosis Quiz Builder is now updated and fully available in the Osmosis mobile app, letting you create and take customized quizzes anytime, anywhere. Design quizzes directly on your phone or tablet, seamlessly aligning your mobile and web study experience. Simply tap the new “New Quiz” button in the bottom navigation, select your exam type and topics, and start quizzing on-the-go or save quizzes for later. This update makes personalized, flexible learning easier than ever—perfect for busy students on the move!

February 2025: The Addition of Apple Sign-In & Revamped Blog

We’ve added Apple’s “Sign in with Apple“ as a social authentication method for Osmosis on the web. Similar to our already existing Google and Facebook authentication options, signing in with Apple will provide another way for users to quickly gain access to Osmosis.org without needing to set an Osmosis password.

We’ve also spruced up our blog! There’s an improved search function along with topic-focused categories, making it easier to find what you need when you need it! So, if you’re seeking, for example, all Nursing-related content or all of our Step 1 Questions of the Day, you have a quick and easy way to navigate to them!

January 2025: The Retirement of Clinical Reasoning Pages

We hit the ground running this year with the official retirement of 180 outdated Clinical Reasoning pages, along with archiving more than two thousand questions to enhance the study experience for our legacy learners (e.g., learners who subscribed before September 7, 2023). Anyone trying to navigate to those pages will be redirected to newer, better-aligned Clinical Science pages.

To support our learners throughout their educational journey, we now offer the Osmosis Suite, which includes both our Basic and Clinical Sciences libraries. Tailored to those in clinical rotations or participating in a spiral curriculum, the Suite provides access to the most applicable educational materials while allowing learners to review Basic Sciences content as needed.

A special note for educators: While these retired resources are no longer available through navigation or search, faculty members may request special access by contacting our team.

 Happy Osmosing in 2025, everyone!
