Dr. Ashley Schaffer has worked as a part-time content editor and script writer for Osmosis since 2025. She earned a B.A. in English from Montclair State University before attending medical school at St. Louis University, where she earned her medical degree in 2012. She later completed her residency in Pediatrics at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson in 2015. Since then, she has practiced as a general pediatrician in a variety of settings, ranging from private practice to academic medicine and, more recently, on a refugee resettlement project with the U.S. Department of State. Throughout her career, she has used medical education and effective communication to engage with both trainees and families. She looks forward to building on these skills to create educational content for medical students as a subject matter expert for Osmosis. She currently lives in Valencia, Spain, with her husband and travels to the United States part-time to continue her clinical work as a locum tenens physician.
